Creative Giving

Did you know that 31% of the annual donations made to charities in the US are given in just one month? The four weeks of December are vital for any nonprofit’s success in the following year. Childcare Worldwide is no exception – and that’s why we need your help! But your support doesn’t have to come in the form of a financial gift. There are so many ways you can support this ministry, especially here at year’s end. Here are a few creative ways you can make a difference!

  1.   Pray

The single most important thing you can do to support Childcare Worldwide, is to pray for this ministry! We are in constant need of general prayer for God’s guidance and blessing. Here are a few specific ways you can pray for us and the children we serve, as we wrap up 2020:

  •      Opportunities to connect with each of our kids and help them grow in their faith, despite the limitations we face due to COVID-19
  •       We are currently hiring for a key leadership role in our Kenya office – pray for us to connect with the perfect person for the role.
  •       Our director in Peru lost her husband earlier this year due to COVID-19. Pray for her and her family as they grieve.
  •       Pray for students to find ways to continue to learn, even while their schools remain closed.

Yes, you can help Childcare Worldwide even by shopping for yourself! Through Amazon Smile, Amazon will donate a portion of the proceeds from your purchase to your chosen charity. Visit and choose Childcare Worldwide to get started. We receive a check from Amazon every quarter, and the more you shop, the bigger the check will be, which means the more children we can help!

  1.       SHOP FOR A FRIEND

Did you know you can give gifts that Double the Good? Every gift in our Christmas Catalog can be given in the name of someone you love. This is the perfect solution for those hard-to-shop-for people on your Christmas list. Instead of buying them another knickknack that will soon be lost or broken, give a transformational gift to a child in need, all in their honor. Your gift recipient will be blessed to know that you are thinking of them, and a vulnerable child will receive the tangible help they need to thrive!

Just shop the catalog to choose your gifts, and then fill out this form, to let us know who you are honoring. We have special cards ready to let them know about the difference being made in their name – we can send the cards to you, or directly to your recipients, or you can print them at home. However you choose to Double the Good, your gift will be a blessing twice over!

Are you a sponsor? If you are, please consider giving your sponsored child the gift of encouragement this Christmas! A simple note to say Merry Christmas, and let them know you are thinking of them, will make a big difference.

If you are giving your child a Love Pak Christmas present, you can even include a special Christmas note along with your Love Pak gift. Keep an eye out for these notes to fill out in your mailbox, and let us know if you need extras.

Even if you aren’t giving a Love Pak, you can still send a regular letter! Just fill out this form, and we’ll be sure it gets to your child as soon as possible.

There are also many ways to give financial gifts to Childcare Worldwide this season, and I can’t list them all here. But please keep an eye out for our Giving Tuesday opportunity! Following the consumerism of Black Friday and Cyber Monday, Giving Tuesday is a great time to give back! It’s on December 1 this year, and any gift you make that day will be DOUBLED thanks to a special matching gift. Be sure to watch your inbox for details!
